California Privacy Notice

This starter notice is for California residents and explains the personal information categories Zikmoo expects to collect, use, disclose, and retain.

Last updated July 8, 2026

Scope

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy. It is intended to support California privacy disclosures while Zikmoo is being built and should be reviewed before launch.

Categories We May Collect

  • Identifiers, such as name, email, handle, account ID, phone number, and authentication IDs.
  • Customer records, such as contact details and account settings.
  • Commercial information, such as subscriptions, campaigns, purchases, or promotion interactions.
  • Internet or network activity, such as device data, log data, sessions, and product usage.
  • Geolocation at the city, state, or country level when you choose to provide it.
  • Audio, visual, or similar information, such as profile images.
  • Professional information if you identify as an artist, label, manager, reviewer, or staff user.
  • Inferences, such as music preferences, chart affinities, recommendations, and audience segments.
  • Sensitive personal information, such as account login data and precise contact channels.

Sources

We may collect information from you, your connected music services, authentication providers, service providers, public sources, rights holders, artists, labels, managers, analytics tools, and your activity on Zikmoo.

Purposes

We use personal information to operate Zikmoo, authenticate users, build music profiles, import listening context, generate charts, support reviews and community features, manage artist and label claims, send opt-in promotional messages, prevent fraud, secure the service, comply with law, and improve the product.

Disclosure

We may disclose personal information to hosting, database, authentication, email, SMS, analytics, payment, security, moderation, and support providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction.

Zikmoo does not currently sell personal information for money. The intended sponsored messaging model is that Zikmoo sends campaigns to opted-in users rather than selling or giving phone numbers to artists or labels. If we later introduce activities that qualify as sale or sharing under California law, we will add the required notices and opt-out controls.

Retention

We retain personal information for the period needed to provide the service, honor user choices, keep consent and compliance records, prevent abuse, support account recovery, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Your California Rights

  • Right to know, access, and receive information about personal information we collect.
  • Right to delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing if Zikmoo later engages in those activities.
  • Right to limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable.
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising California privacy rights.
  • Right to use an authorized agent, subject to verification.
